Teamwork is an essential part of Critical care and Anaesthetics and, if not busy in critical care, it is expected that the doctor will offer to assist the anaesthetists covering Theatres or Obstetrics, where appropriate. Such time may give valuable exposure to these sub-specialties.
The department runs a full shift pattern on a 1:8 with prospective cover for annual leave and study leave.
This job description may be subject to change according to the varying needs of the service. Such changes will be made after discussion between the post holder and the manager. All duties must be carried out under supervision or within Trust policy and procedure.
